my head lights and full beam wont work they have seperate bulbs for the head lights and full beam. i have checked the bulbs and are ok the next to try is the fuses and have been told there is a relay to check not sure where it is ,would presume it is next to the fuse box .anyone else had this problem .if anyone as any other ideas please help more

i lost my electric windows, tail lights, break lights, blowers and central locking. All fuses and bulbs have been checked and are fine. There is no power going to the bulbs from fuse box. Are there anymore fuse boxes or just the 2. Passenger footwell and under the bonnet. Also does anyone know where the electric window relay and fuses are as they are not in the 2 fuse boxes mentioned. Open Question: Our juvenile iguana is still not showing any signs of eating!?

Yes, we have proper lighting (a lamp clamp with bulb set at 90 degrees F), we have offered food twice a day (once in the AM, once in the PM), we've added a box for her to hide in, she has water, also has substrate! Help! She is looking so frail and still sleeping all day and all night. Took her out into the warm sun (96 F) and she started nose rubbing. When my husband touches her, she nose rubs. Well i was setting up a photography studio at my house today, and i found a light stand and a brand new sealed box that had a 100 watt light bulb and the thing you put it in(The thing that you but on the light stand) and the soft box, so i was like YES! because it was just what i needed and it came out of nowhere. But, I spent a long time trying to put the soft box on and finally figured out when i searched online that it should come with a ring(the one that connects the whole light box together), but it didnt come with a ring, so does anyone know where i can find a ring? more

1987 mustang gt convert a while ago all my turn signals stopped working, it took me a while but i found the blue flasher behind the fuse box, and replaced it... still not working, i went to the junkyard and replaced the signal switch it self... still not working i replaced all four bulbs... still not working i replaced something called the inertia switch located next to the tail lights... all my fuses are good... still not working... when i flip the switch i get no sound and the arrows don't light up, my hazards and brake lights work fine... i don't know what else to do, its even more confusing because all four stopped at the same time... help me =(i know where my hazzard flasher and my signal flasher are, i know which one is which, my hazards work fine... more

Voting Question: problem with headlights?

all of a sudden my headlights quit working! the only way they'll work is when i pull for the highbeamers but i have to keep my hand on the thing for the highbeamers to stay on. so the only lights working are my park lights in the front and my rear lights, that work fine. i went up to autozone thinking i needed new bulbs when the guy went to install them they didn't work either so he checked my fuel box but then said that he couldn't find a problem with it!!? i have a 2004 chrysler sebring does anyone know whats the problem or if this is a expensive fix? thanks for your time more

I have recessed lighting. When two of them burnt out (or so I thoguht) the circuit breaker in the panel tripped. I just bought a box of bulbs to change all of the burnt out ones in the house and the two that tripped the breaker won't work with a new bulb. Is it common for those things to break. I know they have a thermal breaker of some sort in them. Can you fix it without going in the attic. I hate to mess with the insulation.I have some skills as an electrical engineer that designs washing machines. I opened it up and there are melted wires that shorted. My house is new so I let the builder know. more

The Bulb came with a fish tank kit that I bought, but it has no markings on the bulb itself. The box they came in says: 15W T10 120V Part Nr. R27154 And that's it. So, I would really like to know if this is an incandescent, florescent or what ever type of bulb it is, please. Well about 6 years ago, my school took all our class to a trip which was over a few days because we was leaving that school and going to an older school. The rooms had like 5 beds in and they all had night lights next to them which the front cover came off , so because there were 6 girls there were 3 of us in 2 rooms. Then on the last night me and this girl from the other room was sat in my bed at about 3am and we both got a mood bracelet from the shop, and we was both playing with them (as you do when your like 11/12), so I was thinking to myself does this bracelet actually know what your mood is or is it changing because of your temperature... So me and my friend decided to put it near the light on the night light whilst it was on, but it didn't change colour. So then I had a stupid idea that didn't seem so stupid at the time, so I decided to put it inside of the night light (which meant take off the guard to it) and it did change colour, so I though well if it was around the light bulb would that make it change colour, so me and my friend did that. As I was putting it around the light bulb I got a shock, and then the light went out and it started to spark! So my friend jumped off the bed and turned the light on, so me being stupid though well if there was no electricity goin to the light, it would stop sparking right? But how wrong was I! I put the cover around my hand (so I didn't get a shock again) and I switched the switch to the light, and the sparking stopped then like a fire ball shot out of the switch hole and set fire to my bed! So me and my friend woke everybody up in the room, and went to the other room where my twin sister was sleeping and we woke them up, then because my friend was too scared to be told off she pretended she was asleep. So I went into the kitchen part where all the teachers were still awake talking, so I went in crying my eyes out, was shaking, couldn't talk good, and I told them my bed was on fire, so they told me to go outside and do what we all practised when there was a fire drill so I ran outside, and stood in the middle of the carpark on my own until the fire alarm went off and everybody came out. My headteacher was calling me a liar about what happend, and yes I admit I lied, I said I was putting the cover back on and I was holding the bracelet and I got a shock and let go and it went around the light bulb, haha I know its a lame lie but I was 11, scared, and was crapping it that my dad would find out and shout at me. So its now been nearly 6 years since then. I never did science experiments that involved fire, or chemicals because I was scared ild do something to cause a fire. Im scared of candles, and when my mum lights one I sit looking at it so it doesn't set on fire, at night I turn off all the plugs in my room, and go around the house closing all the doors and turning lights off. When I have my lamp on because its near my window I keep making sure nothing it covering it so it doesn't set on fire, I jump everytime I hear a noise, when I am using my laptop I have to check where the box on it is which means making sure its not under or ontop of anything, I always have to know nothing is touching the wires for my tv, I cant leave my laptop running over night because I am scared it will set on fire and if I know a plug is turned on I cant sleep. What is wrong with me? And how can I stop being so scared because of something that happend nearly 6 years ago! And if I didn't stop being scared would it turn into an OCD?The night that it happend, the teachers put me in the same bed as my twin and I couldn't sleep all night and kept getting nightmares at home when I was sleeping. Resolved Question: Duck egg help.. About a moving duck inside the egg but stopped?

I just found duck eggs the 8th (long story) so I took the 4 eggs, and when I did I could feel them moving inside (no chirping) but I couldn't make an incubator so I had to keep them outside in a box with a blanket so it was 80 to 70 degrees out, and then finally I made one with a light bulb and made it so its 100 degrees, but now none of them are moving. I also decided to get the other ones in the nest because the mother hadn't returned and before when the mom was there she had like 20 of them and they are all smashed :( Are they dead Was it to cold for them Could they of lasted for 12-18 hrs without incubation Why were they moving Also I tried candling them but there shell look to thick more

Voting Question: Why are my left rear brake lights not working on my 2000 corvette?

The right side brakes are fine. I replaced the bulbs so I know that it isn't the bulbs. I don't know if right and left sides have different fuses because I can't read the legend/map of the fuse box. Voting Question: How do I wire in a switch for my car's glovebox so that the light is on only when opened?

I am very new to electronics as a hobby and was wondering if someone out there can possibly point me in the right direction. I wired in some custom LEDs replacing my car's stock incandescent bulb. It looks awesome, but then I found out that the car's circuitry is such that the glovebox light is always on (with the headlights on)!! I would like to wire in some kind of switch so that the light is only ON when the box is OPENED and OFF when the box is closed. Trying to figure this out, I picked up some "momentary tact" switches (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3020763), and a "detect switch" (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3190382) from radio shack. I like the detect switch because it's small and I think would be best for this application, but it's rated for only 5VDC/1mAh. So how can I use it in my car? I also picked up some transistors, as I heard they can be used as switches, and I got some photocells to experiment with them. But as it turns out the photocells resist TOO much (they need too much light to lower the resistance enough to light up the LEDs). And since these lights will most likely only be on at night, I'm guessing that's not a good idea here? Finally, I saw a magnetic switch alarm at the dollar store (one of those types where you fasten onto windows and doors), so i picked one up, thinking that I can use the magnetic switching mechanism detached from the speaker/alarm. But when I tried that, I realized the two wires going to the speakers, alternate SOMETHING (voltage? current? idunno), I guess because the speaker membrane has to oscillate back and forth to make that shrieking alarm sound, so when I tested with an LED it would just blink really rapidly and I think it might have killed it completely. Resolved Question: How to raise Baby duck Mallard without its mother?

A mother mallard duck got scared from her eggs and did not come back.There are 12 eggs and we scared its will die because the mother duck didn't come back by night. So the same day we started to incubate her eggs inside a box and light bulb over it, with a cup of water inside the box. We don’t know how long the mother had been on the eggs before she left. After 24 days, one egg had a small hole that was not getting any bigger. We helped the baby duck hatch and tried to feed it powdered corn and water inside the same box. It did not want to eat or drink much. The second day the duck was getting close to walking a supporting its head. We played with the duck in the grass. Last night the duck threw up. Well in 2nd grade i was in his class, and me and Landon became friends...[I still remember a project we worked on together one day.] Hes now section 2 smart worthy but he...um, wasnt the brightest light bulb in the box and still isnt. so he always asked for my help, etc. in 3rd grade when my best friend in the world moved away we became even closer. my then bff Janna was the most popular girl in the school and i was 2nd. he was the most popular guy [thnx 2 us...] we were rele full of it tho, cuz we talked about how popular we were...lol. in 4th and 5th grade we were in different classes but rele close and talkd when possible. He did not seem to be bothered by the heat that had tormented him like an ant that was under a magnifying glass. He was scruffy with clear, lucid eyes. The priest embraced the distance and kept on walking. As the sun fell through the crimson clouds, Father Fernando took shelter for the night and rested his tired feet. In the morning, the sky was streaked with the golden warmth of the sun. He began his journey again. After the sun climbed high in the sky, leaving only barely a shadow in front of him, Father Fernando arrived to a small village. On the outskirts of town, there was a man that looked as if he had been beaten down by the harsh world. His eyes were light brown compared to the dark circles under them. The man’s clothes were tattered and worn like his skin. His leather hide was as dark as bark on an oak tree. With the little money the Father had left, he eagerly gave it to the man along with a blessing. The crying man thanked him and Father Fernando walked on. When he passed through the village, the scintillating sun shone brighter on the land. He spoke with the people and enlightened them. Father Fernando kept on strolling up the path. Along the way, he saw a young woman carrying a limp child in her arms. She looked frantic as she cradled her baby. The woman had auburn eyes and her face was streaked with sweat. Ok, well i bought a little led light kit for the car, i put the map light ones in and they were fine, then there were 3 other weird ones, so i opened up the door light, took out the bulb for that, the bulbs were different, but i tried to see it it would still fit, the second i tried putting it in, my radio, my map lights, door light, and remote car remote went out. i checked all the fuses inside the car(all the ones in the little fuse box by the steering wheel), and the ones under the hood, none of them seem burnt out. what can be the problem? more

I was changing a flood light bulb in one of the can lights and was pulling on the ring around the bulb to get a better grip on the bulb and as I was pulling I heard a small pop, the lights all went out, and assumed it was the breaker box. Voting Question: 2002 Chevy Blazer, breaks have no power..?

The fuse is good, the bulbs are good. The circuit box under the hood has power but the power isn't getting the the break lights in the back. Both blinkers work fine as does the high mount. It has been suggested the switch could be bad. But if this is the case, then why would the high mount still work? Any thoughts or suggestions what I should do next? more

I have 1 60 watt incandescent bulb, and one 12 watt eco friendly bulb, the incandescent bulb gave off 63 degrees celsius of heat after 60 minutes, and the eco friendly one gave off 26. Resolved Question: GU10 LED lights - Still glow / light up a little when off!?

I've just bought 8 x 21 LED GU10 bulbs to replace my old (expensive and energy wasting!) halogen ones. Th problem is that I've noticed that when they are switched off, they are still lit up a little (maybe about 5%)! It's so weird! I turned the lighting ring off at the fuse box and they went off all together. There is no problem with the wiring in my house that im aware of. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Voting Question: Antique device called photo-copying machine what did it do probably from 30's or 40's?

I came accross a device in an antique store that looks like a long rectangular box with a plug that lights a light bulb inside the container, and there are two vinyl like coverings on the box one is see through and form fitted as a curve, then there is the other that covers that one. It looks like maybe you put a document on the top of a piece of photographic paper and plugged it in to make a reflective copy. Very basic looked like it might have had chemicals spilled on it so it definitely must have used a photo paper. I am amazed by it and would like to know more about this device...wooden box brass trademark plate and electric plug wrapped in fabric makes me guess it was 1930 or 1940 era? more

My dad brought down a 8 nest nesting box to repaint it. He dropped it and only 7 of the eggs survived i took of them. I put it in a large silk box, and put silk on the bottom. Voting Question: Why might my turn signal lights not light on '95 Mazda B2300 2WD Pick-up?

I have replaced turn signal relay, turn signal switch, and I took out all the fuses in the fuse box and observed carefully and they were not blown. Further, there is no more room in fuse box for another fuse to be put, so I know nothing is missing. Also, when you turn the hazard lights on, all 4 bulbs will light up, so I know it's not a blown bulb. I can remember when the turn signals quit. It was a gradual process during which they started acting like they were shorting out until finally, they just quit working. Is there some kind of replacement wiring harness I can buy that would be an easy fix? I am stuck at this point and have even considered an alternate wiring job with separate switch for turn signals- but would that pass inspection? Thanks for reading.Thank you Craig. I was just wondering if you could answer one more question? When you say "auto cancels" do you mean that it has to automatically shut off the turn signal after you complete a turn? 3 little Mallard ducklings roamed into my dad's store last night, and so he brought them home with him. We've done some research and so we've been keeping them in a card board box with two light bulbs shining on them, filled with grass, a small plate with sugar water and a bigger plate with water with small pieces of bread. They don't seem to eat much, and they tend to just jump into the bowls of water instead of drinking it. Although many people said not to put them in the water, I thought that they should bathe themselves, since they've made a mess in the box. So i got put just enough warm water so that their feet will be underwater, and they seemed fine. But they're so scared of me and my family. We were planning on keeping them just long enough til they're big enough to be sent to an animals shelter. My dad estimates that they're only a week or two old.
